Answer:

Sociological imagination is one of the competences necessary for conscious, full participation in a democratic society, consisting in the realization that a person is a social being that lives together with other people, in a world that was built by people who lived earlier and has a chance to build society for future generations.

It is the ability to see yourself among other people, your place in a wider community, your connections and relationships with others; awareness of one's position and role in the social structure, awareness of one's own place in the historical process. It is also the ability to perceive oneself and one's contemporaries as the creators of the future society. It allows you to better understand what is happening in society, better understand it and better find your own place and role.
