Does Narcissus deserve his fate ? Why or why not?
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

Narcissus suffers the same fate to an even greater degree. In his case, he becomes obsessed with his own reflection. While Echo had at least a brief possibility of fulfilling her desire, Narcissus has no chance at all of ever getting what he wants. The best he can do is dunk his head into the water in a futile attempt to kiss himself. The story suggests that if he'd just been able to recognize it was hopeless and walk away, he might have lived a bit longer.

What idea about the Iranian regime is shared by both authors? Provide an example from each
Daniel [21]

Answer: Both authors think the Iranian regime uses fear to repress women. In reading Lolita in Tehran, the author explains that gun-toting men and women "patrol the streets to make sure that women like Sanaz wear their veils properly, do not wear makeup, do not walk in public with men who are not their fathers, brothers or husbands" (lines 19-22). The author of Persepolis 2 notes that "everything was a pretext to arrest" women.
