The characters choose what they want to do but what the other characters do is out of their control.

The ‘fool’ Feste is more like the jester in many plays and stories. But, he shows his wisdom and the foolishness of others as he talks about the things that they do. He makes fun of them by ridiculing their words and actions. His words make them look foolish.

Malvolio on the other hand is a fool in the sense that he spites himself to gain favor or to make a point. He brings on bad feelings and contempt from others through his actions. Malvolio is so horrible in his words and actions that the others laugh at him and call him names. They are treating him like a fool behind his back. But Malvolio is the real fool and shows this as he brags and imagines himself better than he is, calling himself Count Malvolio as he falls for all of the nonsense he reads in the false letter left by Maria.

HELP IF YOUR ANSWER IS GOOD I WILL GIVE U BRAINIEST :))
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

Instead of investigating the cause of the noise and movements of the ship, the passengers and workers try to connect it with something familiar and convince themselves that they are in no immediate danger. For example, Mrs. Walter B. Stephenson compared the jolts to an earthquake and convinced herself that the earthquake was worse. This leads me to believe that the central idea of the story is that people often try to downplay and underestimate dangerous situations when they have no clue what is actually going on.

Hope this helps you!!
