Daddy, Mama, and I went back to the dining-room table, but we watched Doodle through the open door. He took out a piece of strin

g from his pocket and, without touching the ibis, looped one end around its neck. Slowly, while singing softly "Shall We Gather at the River," he carried the bird around to the front yard and dug a hole in the flower garden, next to the petunia bed. Now we were watching him through the front window, but he didn't know it. His awkwardness at digging the hole with a shovel whose handle was twice as long as he was made us laugh, and we covered our mouths with our hands so he wouldn't hear.
–“The Scarlet Ibis,”
James Hurst

What does the imagery in the passage show about Doodle?

He has many talents, including singing and gardening.
He thinks that the scene is funny and tries not to laugh.
He is afraid that he will catch a disease from the bird.
He cares about giving the bird a proper burial.

A travel magazine has asked its readers to send in articles describing what their ideal holiday destination would be.Write your
mariarad [96]

Answer:

I would choose Hawaii which is in the Pacific Ocean because pictures from the islands look like it is enjoyable and has a lot of things to do. It looks beautiful and the ocean is clear and warm. It is not disgusting like other beaches in the world.

In Hawaii u can see and do a lot. One of the many things is seeing views like the mountains. You can hike on them and look at the beautiful landscape at the top. You also can do any water games like water skiing and if you fall off, it wouldn’t be cold because the ocean is so warm.

Some of the accommodations are the enjoyable beach houses that are on the beach so all you have to do is walk out the backyard to get to the beach. They have restaurants that have tropical drinks that make it even better. They have resorts that have rides and water games.

Out of all the islands of Hawaii I would choose Hawaii to visit because it has the most tourist attraction and best activities. Hawaii also is the biggest and has the best views of volcanoes and mountains to see. Hawaii also has better restaurants and resorts that you can go to and see.

What is the incorrect pronoun shift in ...it is important for a person to be prepared before you adopt a pet
Minchanka [31]
I think the incorrect pronoun shift would be the line "<span>before you adopt a pet". I think it should be before one adopts a pet.  This is because the sentence started with "It is".  The "you" made the sentence very confusing.  The second pronoun should be singular, the pronoun you is often denoted as plural and not singular.</span>
