What you do is add 11/5 and 5/8 so you will line those up and find out the common denominator which is 40 cause 5×8 is 40 so you put 40 for your denominator. next you figure out the numerator which will be 88 and 25 now since were adding your gonna take that 88 + 25 and you get 113/40 now you do 40÷113 and you get 17 and 33/40.
