There are three murderers in the scene. The action occurs at dusk (The First Murderer: "The west yet glimmers with some streaks of day.") The scene happens near the palace, in a park. Banquo and Fleance bring a torch to the scene. The First Murderer manages to put out the light, while all three of them attack and kill Banquo. The scene lasts a couple of minutes only, and the action unfolds very quickly. The dialogue is quick, with short, interrupted lines, which is logical considering the fact that this is a murder scene. At first, while they are waiting for Banquo and Fleance to show up, their language is wordier. But then, right before and after the murder, it is swift and abbreviated, telling us that the murderers are members of a lower social class (The Second Murderer: "Then ’tis he: the rest / That are within the note of expectation / Already are i' th' court.") Banquo's last words are that he is betrayed; also, the warning to Fleance to run away to safety. Banquo realizes in an instant that this is a political murder, and that his son is the next potential victim. So, he wants to protect him. We don't see from the text how Fleance escapes.

If you’re talking about To Kill a Mockingbird:
The rabied dog was killed by Atticus when the sheriff asked him to take the shot. Atticus was against guns and taught his children that guns were not needed. The children however, found out that Atticus was a very good shot in his childhood, this is the reason why he was asked to take the shot. When he shot the dog, he overcame his problem with guns, and showed courage to even shoot the gun. When mrs Dubous died, the courage was shown through both of the children, especially Scout since she did not need to go to the house with her brother every day. After her death, the children learned that Atticus only made them go to her house after school everyday because he knew she was going to die and she deserved to have someone by her side when it happened. So even though the children were scared of her, they faced their fears to help her enjoy her last few days on earth.
Nothing will happen. It's a myth. The myth of the one-page letter is so strong that I have heard people ask this question over and over again. Yes, it's true, a one page cover letter is what is considered to be a norm here, but if you have a good reason for exceeding it, I assume nothing will happen. Of course, it differs from place to place. Someone might just disregard it, looking at you as unprofessional because you exceeded the limit that they gave you, which was a test in itself. So it really depends more on the place. Hope this helps
