On March 23, 1775, Patrick Henry held a speech in front of Virginia legislators to convince them that Virginia should join the independence war.
The reason for these claims was that Henry said England would not care much about American colonies, which were affected by various taxes and levies.
The most famous speech by Patrick Henry is one that includes the statement "Give me freedom or give me death" before the Virginia Provincial Convention.
He supported the Virginia plan, advocating that it should go to the war for independence against England.
But he also frightened of centralized US authorities, along with other anti-federalists, thinking that it will turn into a monarchy.
In his address to the convention, Patrick Henry speaks to the President of the Convention.
