Define yellow journalism and explain how it influenced the U.S. public in the lead-up to the Spanish-American War
bearhunter [10]

Answer:

Yellow journalism is what we call today sensation journalism which attemtps to surprise , shock or impress the audience with news stories that are uncommon and are often related to scandal, sex, violence, crimes or the private life of the rich, the powerful or the famous. Its tactics is eye-catching headlines or pitches to increase sales or viewers. The American yellow press run by press barons William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer covered the Cuban war of independence , focusing on the abuses and atrocities of Spanish troops against Cuban civilians and the appaling living conditions of the latter, often sent to camps in order to isolate them from the rebels. Those stories moved the American public, created sympathy toward the rebels and influenced the public mood in ways favorable to an American intervention in the Spanish-American War of 1898.

How did the objectives of auschwitz ii differ from auschwitz iii?
barxatty [35]

Auschwitz II-Birkenau and Auschwitz III-Monowitz were two different concentration camps that had different purposes and objectives.

Auschwitz II-Birkenau was the most infamous of all three Auschwitz camps. It was the one that was specifically made for killing, for performing genocide over the people that the German officials didn't thought deserve to live. This was the camp where the Jews were killed, accompanied by the Gypsies, and later by Slavic people, mostly people from the Soviet Union and Poland.

Auschwitz III-Monowitz was a camp with different purpose. The prisoners in this camp were not systematically killed, bu instead they were used as a labor force. The prisoners in this camp were overworked, they suffered from malnutrition, and had terrible conditions for living. Lot of them died because of those things, not because of direct murder. This prisoners were used as labor force for the rubber factory.
