Answer:

I explain it

Explanation:

Nick comes home from the city after a date with Jordan. He is surprised to see Gatsby’s mansion lit up brightly, but it seems to be unoccupied, as the house is totally silent. As Nick walks home, Gatsby startles him by approaching him from across the lawn. Gatsby seems agitated and almost desperate to make Nick happy—he invites him to Coney Island, then for a swim in his pool. Nick realizes that Gatsby is nervous because he wants Nick to agree to his plan of inviting Daisy over for tea. Nick tells Gatsby that he will help him with the plan. Overjoyed, Gatsby immediately offers to have someone cut Nick’s grass. He also

offers him the chance to make some money by joining him in some business he does on the side—business that does not involve Meyer Wolfshiem. Nick is slightly offended that Gatsby wants to pay him for arranging the meeting with Daisy and refuses Gatsby’s offers, but he still agrees to call Daisy and invite her to his house.

Answer:

  • The general will force Rainsford to participate in the hunt
  • Rainsford will attempt to escape from the island

Explanation:

If you have read this book you know that Rainsford has a conflict with Zaroff after falling into the sea. This man gets his own island to hunt and is a brilliant sportsman who has developed an innovative type of hunting games. Their basic goal is to train people whose ships are wrecked because it gives them food and knives for a few days. After that, Zaroff begins to hunt them down so they need to survive to win this kind of strange game and stay alive. The worst part is that he kills them if he can find these poor men.

For this reason, based on this, we can conclude that the logical predictions that a reader can make based on the excerpt are:

  • The general will force Rainsford to participate in the hunt
  • Rainsford will attempt to escape from the island

Answer:

A) It is important to use credible sources in an academic research paper because your audience will expect you to have backed up your assertions with credible evidence. Using evidence that does not come from a credible source of information will not convince your reader that your claim is plausible or even correct.

B) When you create an Access database, you store your data in tables—subject-based lists that contain rows and columns. For instance, you can create a Contacts table to store a list of names, addresses, and telephone numbers, or a Products table to store information about products.

C) To cut to the chase, “key takeaway” refers to any learning point or even teaching moment from a real-life experience. It can also come from reading or observation, or attending a seminar or conference, or even from a small talk encounter.
