Following instructions is important because sometimes we can get cocky and think we can do anything that is expected from us even without instructions. If we start to think this way, we will be confused later on and have a very difficult time with our work just because we didn't think instructions are important. It can damage our grades in school and it can also damage our daily life, if you have a hard time in a subject and you ignore the instructions for the assignment, you will regret not listening to the teacher and get 0%. Since grades in school can influence the rest of our lives. Not following instructions can also hurt us in our workplaces because if we do poorly in our work, we can get fired! People give you instructions for a reason, NEVER just ignore those instructions just because you don't feel like it. They give us instructions because they know more than you so think before you decide to get in trouble for not following instructions. It can be hard to do something someone asks but it's for a good reason, it is this way so you never get confused when you have to do something and have no idea how to finish your work or maybe even start it.
