Your question is incomplete because you have not provided the answer options, which are:

exhibit grace under pressure.

recognize the meaningless of life.

have a mentor to follow.

learn from his mistakes.

Answer:

exhibit grace under pressure.

Explanation:

In the excerpt from Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms," the narrator makes reference to how soldiers spend their time before an attack. In that respect, he mentions that he is invited to have a drink with the major and other officers in a kind and pleasant atmosphere. Thus, the relaxed and unconcerned moment they have contrasts with the brutality of the attacks, which demonstrates the dignity and amiability of the men in stressful times.

ANTONII [103]
One theme from Rikki Tikki Tavi would be courage. In Rudyard Kipling's story, Rikki has to fight two cobras, Nag and Nagaina, to protect his garden and Teddy. He is frightened of them because they are stronger and bigger than he is, but, knowing that he is a mongoose and meant to fight snakes, he overcomes his fear and fights them anyway. One line in the story to support this is "though Rikki-Tikki had never met a live cobra before, his mother had fed him on dead ones, and he knew that all a grown mongoose's business in life was to fight and eat snakes."

Is "stabs her dead in the market place full of bright flowers" a juxtaposition?
klasskru [66]
Yes. A juxtaposition is two things being seen or placed with each other with contrasting effect. "Stabs her dead" is an unhappy and scary thing, but "the market place full of bright flowers" is a very happy scene. Those two are opposites, so yes it is a juxtaposition.
