4. Describe how you have taken advantage of a significant educational opportunity or worked
dolphi86 [110]

A educational opportunitiy that I took advantage of is having an IEP. When I say take advantage of I don't really mean I abused it, it was just an opportunity I saw and took it. the IEP helps me get extra help with math, meaning I get a tutor and math person that helps me out when I'm in that particular classroom. I'm also given extensions If I need extra help. having an IEP has helped me better myself in mathematics. :)

Why is language an important tool in developing a monster character in a story?
netineya [11]

Answer: D) The author can reveal hidden meanings about the monster by using words with strong connotations.

A connotation is a secondary meaning of a word which is different from its dictionary meaning (called denotation). It is useful for the characterization of monsters, as it gives words more varied meanings and therefore allows a richer characterization.

Whether the author employs language effectively or not, the reader always needs to use his or her imagination. Moreover, language has no impact on whether the monster is revealed early or late in the story. Finally, the plot can indeed be steered in unexpected directions through language. However, this has nothing to do with the characterization of monsters.

An excerpt from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Mark Twain 1 You don't know about me without you have read a book by the name
MrMuchimi

Answer:The answer is B) mainly

The word "mainly" shows that the story of Huck Finn is more fiction than fact. He repeats this word many times when he is talking about the story being one of truth. This intensifier introduces the idea of the story being a bit exaggerated and fictional. The other words add to the characterization of Huck. He uses ain't simply to mean isn't. When he says "that ain't no matter" he means that it is no big deal. Without is used to mean exactly that and is not meant as an opposite.
