It supports a large natural habitat and eco-system ranging from rain forests, river tributaries and farmlands. The farmlands from human activities that is destroying the Amazon River. To allow more farming, large areas of rain forests have been cleared; destroying living habitats the forests support. It also changes the water flow of Amazon River; causing some streams to dry up and others become muddy due to erosion.
