Answer: 4 2/3
How: well you don't have to do anything to the 5 for now so make sure that 1/6 and 1/2 have common denominators...so 1/2 time 3 both top and bottom (numerator and denominator) now 1/6 - 3/6 is -2/6 and simplified is -1/3 so now you subtract 5 and 1/3 and you have to have common denominators so 5/1 times 3 with both numerator and denominator is 15/3, so 15/3 - 1/3 is 14/3 and to make in to a mixed number you have to divide,and 3 goes into 14 4 times because 4 x 3 and you can't do a number that's bigger than 14 so 12 is good ( 4 x 3) now 14 - 12 is 2 so you would have 4 2/3

Natali5045456 [20]
Alright, for the guide

basically,
when you divide 2 numbers with the same sign, the result is positive
example, \frac{2}{4}=0.5 and \frac{-2}{-4}=0.5

when you divide 2 numbers with different signs, the result is negative
example: \frac{-2}{4}=-0.5 and \frac{2}{-4}=-0.5

BigorU [14]

Answer:

Example Cube Roots: The 3rd root of 64, or 64 radical 3, or the cube root of 64 is written as 3√64=4. The 3rd root of -64, or -64 radical 3, or the cube root of -64 is written as 3√−64=−4. The cube root of 8 is written as 3√8=2. The cube root of 10 is written as 3√10=2.154435.

find three consecutive odd integers such that 3 times the sum of all three is 24 more than the product if the first and second i
Delicious77 [7]
3 consecutive odd integers : x, x + 2, x + 4

3(x + x + 2 + x + 4) = x(x + 2) + 24
3(3x + 6) = x^2 + 2x + 24
9x + 18 = x^2 + 2x + 24
x^2 - 7x + 6 = 0
(x - 1)(x - 6) = 0

x - 1 = 0
x = 1

x - 6 = 0
x = 6 (this will not work...it is even)

ur 3 consecutive odd integers :
x = 1
x + 2 = 1 + 2 = 3
x + 4 = 1 + 4 = 5

In the search to determine if car 1 is slower to accelerate than car 2, the mean time it takes to accelerate to 30 miles per hou
kupik [55]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The happiest used in a test in statistics are the null and the alternative hypothesis. The null hypothesis is usually the default statement while the alternative hypothesis is thevopposite of the null hypothesis.

In this case study, the null hypothesis is u1 = u2: the average mean time it takes to accelerate to 30 miles per hour for car 1 is the same as that for car 2.

The alternative hypothesis is u1 > u2: the mean time it takes to accelerate to 30 miles per hour is greater than that for car 2 thus car 1 is slower to accelerate as it takes more time.
