Answer:

I do not agree with the statement act first and think later. There are cases when it is okay to act first and think later, like when you see someone in trouble. For instance, if they're drowning or choking etc. But there are cases where you should think first. For example if you were to file a lawsuit against someone you would need evidence and reasoning. Therefore, you will need to think before you act. Also if you're at a grocery store before you go shopping you should always plan a grocery list and plan how much money you want to spend that is thinking before acting. However, if you go to the grocery store without planning anything you can either overpay and not have any money left or you will take a long time because you don't know what you should get since you didn't plan first. An example from the story is the present her mom gave her, I believe the mom put some thought into the gift. She knew she was going to die and thought of how her daughter would take her death. So I believe she thought before giving her the gift. These are examples of why I do not agree with the theme of "The Birthday Box".

disa [49]

Answer:

It is the concept pf surface tension that helps the coin to float on the top of the water in the glass. The surface tension acts just opposite to the gravitational force and that is why when any metal placed in the water it will float and come on the surface.

2. Inner story- A.brings ideas and principle down to earth for clarity

3. Concrete Language-  D.objective events and circumstances in the situation

4. Figurative Language-  E.portrays one thing in terms of another

5. Descriptive Language- C.adds color and precision to the picture by using modifiers

Explanation:

  • The Inner story is the deeper meaning of the story. It is the lesson the reader takes away from the entire story and the effect of the events on the reader.
  • Concrete Language provides a sound and objective understanding of the story, also supplying specific details that shape the reader's understanding of the story.
  • Figurative Language is a type of language that uses words in such a way that is unconventional to provide a deeper meaning to the story being told.
  • Descriptive Language refers to language that paints a clearer picture of an event, by appealing to the senses of touch, sight, smell, hearing, and taste.

The entire so-called science of parapsychology is simply a clever fraud. The attention of
Anastaziya [24]

Answer: The field of Parapsychologists.

Explanation:

The type of words used above as well as the tone suggests that the author does not think highly of the field of parapsychologists. Indeed, in calling the field fraudulent, the author is actively looking down on the field.

The author is therefore showing bias against the field because the author includes no positives about the field. The text is singularly garnered at making the reader think lowly of the field as well. The author is therefore biased in their analysis of the field which means they are biased against the field in general.
