1) The development of labor unions- Industrial workers felt that they were being overworked and underpaid. Many of these workers had this sentiment and started to work together to form labor unions. These organizations would fight for safer working conditions, better pay, shorter work days, etc.

2) Violence between laborers and managers- During this era, there were several examples of striking workers who got into violent altercations with their managers or law enforcement officials. A perfect example of this would be the Pullman Strike that took place in 1894.
