Snout Shape: Alligators have a wide, rounded, u-shaped snout, while crocodiles have long, pointed, v-shaped snouts. ... Crocodiles are different from alligators in this sense, where both upper and lower jaws of a crocodile are the same size, exposing their teeth as they interlock, creating the look of a toothy grin.

Alligators have U-shaped faces that are wide and short, while crocodiles have thin V-shaped muzzles. When an alligator closes its mouth, you tend to see only its upper teeth. Crocodiles on the other hand flash a toothy grin with their top and bottom teeth interlacing.

explain one reason why the population of marsh grasses might increase if the population of herons decrease
gogolik [260]
Herons are very large birds, and due to their intimidating size, they have very little predators. They have a varied diet and consume many different prey (fish, snakes, amphibians, and probably many other small animals). If the population of herons would decrease, the population of the other organisms living in the same environment would increase since they would have a greater chance at survival (since they are not being eaten by the herons)

Which statement is true about the environment of urban areas
emmasim [6.3K]

The promise of jobs and prosperity, among other factors, pulls people to cities. Half of the global population already lives in cities, and by 2050 two-thirds of the world's people are expected to live in urban areas. But in cities two of the most pressing problems facing the world today also come together: poverty and environmental degradation.
