Reason why Greenhouse effect and Ozone layer Depletion are considered two related serious environmental concerns of the 21st cen
sleet_krkn [62]

The reason why the Greenhouse effect and the ozone layer are considered as related environmental issues is that they both are affected by the human activity, and they both cause rise of the global temperatures.

Explanation:

The greenhouse effect represents an atmospheric effect on the planet that results in global rise of the temperature. The cause of this effect is the accumulation of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere, which have the property to trap big portion of the heat.

The ozone layer depletion is a process through which the ozone layer is destroyed. With the destruction of the ozone layer, ozone holes occur, which in turn results in higher UV radiation. The stronger the UV radiation, the more damage is cause on the living organisms.

Common things of both these processes are:

  • the human activity has big influence on them
  • the global temperature rises
  • they cause drastic environmental changes and damage
