Salah purifies peoples hearts. Those who take pride in Islam and do their prayers whole heartedly are able to have the heart of 'gold.' This teaches people with those hearts to be a better person in different ways as helping people or such.

Salah also brings the person closer to Allah. It brings faith to the person and closer to their religion.
