I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud </em>(also known as<em> Daffodils</em>) is a poem written by William Wordsworth, an English Romantic poet. It is his most-known work and is considered a classic of English Romantic poetry.
What inspired Wordsworth to write this poem were the daffodils he saw while talking a walk with his sister Dorothy. This is how much nature influenced him. He is often referred to as a poet of nature. He presented it as something that has a personality, worshipped it, and saw it as a source of joy and consolation.
