This question is about "The Vanishing American Adult"

Answer and Explanation:

1. Consumerism as a way to please youth is wiping out American society. This is one of the complaints made by Sasse in The Vanishing American Adult, where he claims that young people (and the population at large) have based their achievements and achievements on material goods. Parents have influenced this, creating a population of young people who are empty in spirit and who will lead American society to grow without direction and positioning.

2. To support this claim Sasse provides details on how the country has not encouraged its children to have experiences, to conquer and to walk their paths, resisting consumerism and presenting the rewards of hard work. it also shows how spending time in another environment and away from parents can improve this concept of consumerism and hard work that has so failed in our society.

If the word ends in silent e , drop the e and add the suffix, unless the final e is needed to preserve the sound of the precedin
Shalnov [3]

Answer:

grievance

remembrance

resemblance

Explanation:

The question is asking us to choose the words that have dropped the final -e in order to add the suffix -ance. To do so, all we need is to think of the word without the suffix, of the way it is originally spelled. When we do that, we find that the words that had -e and dropped it are:

grieve - grievance

remember (also "remembrer" in Old French) - remembrance

resemble - resemblance

The rest of the words did not have an -e originally - for instance, accept - acceptance-, or did not drop it (vengeance).
