Answer:

Slave labour was restricted largely to domestic service. Rural wage rates were depressed owing to the caste system and the “village community” mechanism. In the city, the monopoly of resources by the ruling class necessarily depressed wages through the market mechanism itself.

Rosevelt feared that if us did not enter the race for _________ along with England, Germany and France, America would be left be
Crazy boy [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

through his first six years in office, Franklin Roosevelt spent much of his time trying to bring the United States out of the Great Depression. The President, however, certainly did not ignore America's foreign policy as he crafted the New Deal. Roosevelt, at heart, believed the United States had an important role to play in the world, an unsurprising position for someone who counted Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson among his political mentors. But throughout most of the 1930s, the persistence of the nation's economic woes and the presence of an isolationist streak among a significant number of Americans (and some important progressive political allies) forced FDR to trim his internationalist sails. With the coming of war in Europe and Asia, FDR edged the United States into combat. Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor, however, brought the United States fully into the conflict.

Which was NOT a primary motivation for Republicans to promote congressional reconstruction over those policies proposed by Linco
ryzh [129]

The correct answer is B) Congressional leaders wanted to restore the Union as quickly as possible.

<em>What was not a primary motivation for Republicans to promote congressional reconstruction over those policies proposed by Lincoln and Johnson is: " Congressional leaders wanted to restore the Union as quickly as possible."</em>

US Congress did not share the same Reconstruction ideas of President Lincoln and Jackson. Let's have in mind that after the Abraham Lincoln assassination, Andrew Jackson became the president of the United States and continued with the Reconstruction process. Some Radical Republicans did not support the considerations for the southern states that the President had in mind.

What the Congress wanted to with the confederated states was first, that the policy of Reconstruction should be in the hands of Congressmen. Then, representatives and Senators thought that the southern states should be punished for their crimes against the Union and the destruction of so much property. And of course, they wanted to limit the power and faculties of southern states.

The other options of the question were a) Congress felt that Reconstruction policy should be under its authority, c) Congress wanted to punish the south for its crimes against the Union, and d) Congressional leaders wanted to keep southern states out of power.
