alexgriva [62]

Answer:

On leaving the Jail, John Brown had on his face an expression of calmness. Some believe he died a Patriot and some believe he died a murderer. As he stepped out of the door a black woman, with her little child in her arms, stood near his way. He stopped for a moment in his course, stooped over, and the child affectionately. Some may rejoice that John Brown has been hung and many may not.

Joel: A myth is a narrative told to convey a community's traditional wisdom. Myths are not generally told in the modern world be
Tresset [83]

Answer:

(E) It offers a counterexample that calls into question part of Joel’s definition of myth.

Explanation:

In the given discourse, Joel states that myths are narratives <em>"to convey a community's traditional wisdom."</em> He further expressed his belief that <em>"myths are not generally told in the modern world."</em>

On the other side, Giselle counters Joel's claims by stating an analogy of a machine and human body. This analogy provides the counterexample of the definition of myths that Joel provides.

Thus, the correct answer is option E.

In a well-structured paragraph, describe a personal connection you have with a text of your choosing. Be sure to name the
qwelly [4]

Answer:

This question requires a personal answer. I will give you an example so that you can relate it to a story that you have read.

Explanation:

The text I choose is "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky.

I have had a special connection with this story since in many ways I resemble the protagonist. His name is Charlie, and he is a person who finds it difficult to make friends and has problems being in society since he is very shy and is usually afraid.

He has suffered traumas that prevent him from being more outgoing with his peers. I felt identified since many times fear also makes me be a shy person who sometimes prefers to "be invisible".
