Suppose you recently moved to the colonies from England. You want to write a letter to your family in England describing your li
Pavlova-9 [17]

Answer:

Dear Mo, March 30, 1692

I have moved to the wonderful colonie of Pennsylvania. I am a farmer here with a wife and 5 children. We do the farm chores which include cooking, cleaning, caring for the animals, caring for ourselves, building and planting and harvesting crops. When I moved here my neighbors organized a working bee to get my farmed built. At the end, we all got drunk and had fun. That is also where I met my wife. Sadly our eldest son, John, died of smallpox, so we had to make a plot for him. That really brought are family together. The wonderful thing about living in Pennsylvania is that we all care for each other which is how I got my barn. Also, our children get a good education which I heard was not that prevalent here in the colonies. Thankfully their is no slavery here because we believe that it is a sin. I would like to know that the English Bill of rights actually gives us rights and what parliament is doing right now, because you somehow were elected to the Commons.

From Your Favorite and Only Older Brother,

John

What did the charter of 1732 not allow or Forbid the trustee and colonist to do?
NeX [460]

Answer:

I love to memorize things, and I memorized this part of an article from www.loc.gov which should help you with this answer, so they get my credit for this: "The charter granted the trustees the powers of a corporation; they could elect their own governing body, make land grants, and enact their own laws and taxes. Since the corporation was a charitable body, none of the trustees could receive any land from, or hold a paid position in, the corporation."

I hope this helps, have an amazing day!

Match the following items. Match the items in the left column to the items in the right column.
Arisa [49]

Answer:

The ones I know for sure are

1. British Soldiers are Redcoats

2. Cloth would be textiles

3. Boston tea party would be tea

4. Those loyal to England were called Loyalists

6. George Rogers Clark captured a fort at Vincennes

8. Those loyal to America were called Patriots

9. A large mainland is called a Continent

10. A long-barreled gun would be called a musket

Explanation:

On 5 and 7 I 'am guessing that the answers would be that the answerer to 5. tax would be settlers since the heavy taxes that settlers in the colonies had to endure were one of the many reasons for revolution and that would leave the answerer for 7.Danger to be duty.

Two such types, socialism and capitalism are the most common. Capitalism is often referred to as a free market economy in its purest form; a common type of socialism is communism.
