Answer:

1. so that they can keep an update on their lives. They are going into high school (which can get hard) and they want to do something together. They don't want to write just nonsense though.

2. I think that its mostly for themselves...most diarys are. Im not sure if they are going to share it with each other though.

3. Its organized by days (i know this because it says the month and the day at the beginning of each entry). and its a year diary.

4. Its pretty formal for a journal but also keep in mind that it was translated as well. it goes between direct and descriptive. It tells about her life and its very thorough

Second Diary: A YOUNG GIRLS DIARY

This diary was written solely for themselves, to keep an update on their lives through high school together. I know this because at the top of the first page it says “Hella and I are writing a diary. We both agreed that when we went to the high school, we would write a diary every day”

I don’t think Hella and Rita wrote their diaries with any intent of anyone ever reading them other than the small possibility of each other. I believe this because, Rita wrote “Dora keeps a diary too, but she gets furious if I look at it”

This diary is also written in chronological order, the events are written in order of when they happened. I can tell because like Scott, “Rita” wrote down at the beginning of each entry the date, allowing the reader to understand when each event occurred. Also showing us that the diary is written in chronological order.

The style of this diary is informal, she’s just casually writing what goes on day to day in her life. Although the style is informal it is very detailed. Rita adds specific thoughts, actions, and even direct quotes from friends. There are a few different words or ways I would describe Rita’s diary, such as casual, she seems to just be writing for fun.

Which is NOT one of the differences between literary works in dramatic works?
Aneli [31]
The correct answer is A. dialogue is used.
This is not a difference between literary and dramatic works. Dialogues are used both in literary texts and in plays, so they are not something that distinguishes the two genres. On the other hand, stage directions are written only in dramatic works, and only they are meant to be performed on stage, whereas novels and other literary works are not.

Sarah changed the words of the pig lullaby so that they rhymed, and every night she sang it to little Stanley. "If only, if only
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

Stanley wished that everything that happened in his life was different. This compares with the words "if only, if only", because it reflects Stanley's thinking thinking "If only things were different."

Explanation:

Stanley has a curse that damages his life and makes him go through very bad situations in his life. He would very much like his life to have been different, that the experiences he had had been different. For this reason, Stanley can live in a constant feeling of projection where he thinks "if only my life were different, if only things had happened differently." This relates entirely to the song sung by Sarah, especially the words "if only, if only".

Can characters act as symbols in a novel? What about events? Settings? Identify an element in The Outsiders that is not an objec
lidiya [134]

Answer:

In The Outsiders, sunrise and sunset are symbols of unity and connection. For example, when Ponyboy connects with Cherry at the movies on the topic of sunsets, he begins to realize that all humans are linked through the natural world.

Finally, the book ends using the exact words that it began with. This is a symbol of the journey that Ponyboy has been on. It shows that he was able to work through all of the destruction that occurred throughout the story. It provides symmetry in the novel as well.
