Answer:

This is an interesting question. Because the term “socialized” could depend on the person, their context and environment.

In my case, I used to be a terrible at socialization. I have Asperger’s Syndrome, and a lot of my social responses as a child were, to put it lightly, less than favourable. I didn’t really know how to act around other people. I am also an only child, so I didn’t have much practice per se. I would talk about my favourite topic without knowing when to stop, have outbursts, be inappropriate, meltdowns, etc. stereotypical ASD stuff to say the least.

I then went to university and my perspective on people completely changed. I realized that me, someone with Asperger’s could not make the world change for me. I still have my quirks. I still have my oddities here and there. But my thinking shifted fundamentally by saying to myself “Not everyone will understand you, and that’s okay”.

I am also a Christian, so I believe God is the only One who can understand me fully and really love me for me. People can do that too, but on a much smaller scale.

Fast forward, I am now a university graduate and I can safely say I am a way more socialized person than I was years ago. I had to understand that not everyone will understand, but also I realized my ultimate worth isn’t based in how well I do socially. It helps you get along with people in life yeah, but it’s not the determining factor in what makes a person valuable or not. Just the fact a person exists makes them valuable :)

Do I still struggle and have deep life questions about this topic? Yes. Do I have it all figured out? Absolutely not haha.

What is the purpose of government? Select a quotation from a US president. Then, write an argumentative essay that explains why
Dominik [7]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

What is the purpose of government according to US president Thomas Jefferson, is "to protect the natural rights of the American people and secure life, property, and the pursuit of happiness."

I completely agree with the concept of government stated by Antifederalist US President Thomas Jefferson.

Indeed, when he drafted the Declaration of Independence with the help of other four prominent Americans(Roger Sherman, Benjamin Franklin, Robert Livingston, and John Adams), Jefferson clearly established the foundation of the ideals that would appear in the Preamble of the United States Constitution.

After so much debate and discussion on the part of the delegates who participated in the Constitutional Convention of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, they agreed on including a Bill of Rights that is the first ten amendments to the US Constitution. Drafted by James Madison, these amendments include the ideas expressed by Thomas Jefferson of liberty and natural rights.

My own views on the purpose of government based on the statement of Thomas Jefferson is that those rights are the reason for our existence as a  nation. The federal government and the other forms of government (state and local) have the responsibility -granted by the American citizens- of protecting those rights and liberties, creating peace and economic conditions for every American to thrive.
