In this speech writing assignment, you will research a problem, devise a solution, and persuade people to join your cause. Your

purpose is to persuade your class and community to change their actions and beliefs about the problem you’ve identified. You will choose one of the following topics to write about:
vending machines in the school cafeteria
required school uniforms
the use of technology in school, such as e-readers, phone apps, MP3 players.
free extracurricular school activities, such as running clubs, game clubs, etc.

Write a 500-word speech in support of your position on your chosen topic. Make sure that you are using at least ONE of the persuasive techniques (logos, pathos, ethos). Remember that your position should be based on facts, not opinions. If possible, deliver your speech to your classroom, teacher, or parents to practice the public speaking strategies outlined above.

Answer:

ok so school uniforms is the one thing kids need in school and here is why. kids are coming to school and they dont all loook the same. you know some people dont have the money to buy some new pants or shirt and that is ok i mean look people ues things from thier brother or sister and that is ok because some people have the type of family that need food or hot water to take a shower and things they need clothes people can wear over and over again until they cant be and that is why i think the school uniforms is a good thing i mean then we all wear the same thing and then there is no omg do you see what they are wearing because if they say that then they are just saying that what they are wearing is omg to and that would make no sense it also can help with are amount of bullies so that is why i think the school uniforms is a good thing for schools to have.

Answer:

It is more important to keep that vow or promise because you are either taking the opportunity to keep the friendship that may be the best friend you will ever have. If you decide to take the latter, then sure you may have a great time going to Hawaii or buying a $2.3 Million mansion, but then you think about that friend that you loved and now miss. It is more important to keep that promise or vow, whatever it is. I know this from experience

Why is it so bad to use first person in an essay?
Delvig [45]
Because in an essay, you need to be as professional and un-bias as possible. A first person essay just looks immature in general, not to mention it full of bias and opinions. An essay needs to lay down facts and statistics, not blurt opinions and personal preferences. <span />
