Answer:

It’s depends on the sign.

Step-by-step explanation:

For example if your question is 3x+16y-8-7x+8y then the answer would be -4x+24y-8 if they have the same variable look at them as a separate equation.

Answer:

"Like Terms" means that you can add or subtract two terms. For instance, you know that you can add and get 5. You were able to add these two 'terms' ( the '2' and the '3') because they are both numbers! However, you might also know that you cannot 'combine' 2 and x. Since 2 is a number and 'x' is not, they are not like terms.

Basically if its two numbers that are the same, For example (-2x and -4x) and have with the same variables you would add them. If they are like this (5x and -2x) you would subtract them because its a negative and positive number and get ( 3x).

Hope i helped!!!!

Solve the equation: Sin2x - Sinx = 0
Viktor [21]
We know that sin2x=2sinxcosx
(search the net for proof if you wish)

So the original equation becomes

2sinxcosx-sinx=0
The two terms both have sinx that can be taken out to get:

sinx(2cosx-1)=0
This is true if sinx=0 or 2cosx-1=0 , rewritten: cosx=1/2

sinx=0 than x=2kπ
cosx=1/2 than x=π/3+2kπ
where k is an integer

Use the compound interest formula to compute the total amount accumulated and the interest earned.
mezya [45]
A=3,500×(1+0.011÷12)^(12×4)
A=3,657.36

Interest earned
=3657.36-3500=157.36

You don't need to construct a Venn Diagram, it is just part of the instruction. Just determine whether or not the argument is va
icang [17]

Answer:

It is valid.

Venn Diagram is attached.

I also provided a truth table.

I also provided a couple of names this argument could be called.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this question.

Thank you kindly.

Step-by-step explanation:

If a person is a poet, then that person is a loner.

If a person is a loner, then that person is a taxi driver.

If a person is a poet, then that person is a taxi drive.

This is in the form:

p->q

q->r

Therefore, p->r.

This is an example of a hypothetical syllogism.

The first thing my mind goes to when seeing this is the transitive property which says if A is related to B and B is related to C then A is related to C.

So this syllogism also has another name and it is called the principle of transitivity of implication.

Let p=person is a poet, q=person is a loner, and r=person is a taxi driver.

I'm going to make a truth table and compare the truth values of the propositions to the conclusion.

Since we have 3 variables, we are going to need 2^3=8 rows.

p     q       r        p->q    q->r      (p->q) and (q->r)        conclusion=(p->r)

T      T     T           T         T                     T                               T

T      T     F           T         F                    F                                 F

T      F     T           F         T                     F                               T

T      F     F           F         T                     F                                F

F      F     F           T         T                    T                                 T

F      F     T           T         T                    T                                 T

F     T     F            T         F                    F                                 T

F    T     T             T         T                    T                                 T

So we are trying to see if we ever have the preposition part true and the conclusion false.

That doesn't happen so the argument is valid.
