One of the ways a democratically elected national president can be removed from office is through impeachment.
Impeachment is the legal proceeding by the Legislative arm of government to remove a president of public office holder on charges of treason, misconduct, bribery and other similar crimes.
If it is proved beyond reasonable doubt that such charges are valid and the president is guilty, he would be impeached.
