Answer:A:60

Explanation:

This should be a right triangle pythagorean theorm question. The therom is this a^{2}+b^{2} =c^{2}. In which a and b are the two non slanted slides of the right triangle or the legs and c is the slanted side which will be the hypotenuse. To solve this question, you would have to do the the pythaorean theorm reversed. To do that, you would first have to square 61 to which you would get 3721. And then you would square 11 to which you would get 121. Then you would subtract 121 from 3721 and get 3600. Then you would square root 3600 and get 60.

Pretend the coastal town of Galveston, TX has decided to install a new wave of generators on all its beaches to create energy fo
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

There could be several disadvantages associated with the installation of generators on the beaches in TX. For example, they could be sound pollution, increased heating, and hence habitat loss. Further, it would require a lot of energy input as well.

Explanation:

Firstly, we need to consider that Galveston is a small island and despite of negative environmental impacts, it can partially afford installation of generators on the beach. However, if the whole state (TX) is about to install generators on all beaches, it could drastically affect the environment quality at the beach. Typically, a beach should be free of any pollution. However, running generators would increase the sound pollution at first, and then it would also release excessive amount of heat. Many organisms in the marine environment are senstive to both sound and heat pollution and they would start moving away from the continental shelf. This would finally result in the loss of habitat significantly.

Which of the following scenarios does NOT align to the principles of the National Sustainable Development Strategy?
Bad White [126]

Answer:

1) Argentina wants to build sustainable development, so the government takes Brazil's sustainable development plan and follows it exactly.

Explanation:

The UN Sustainable Development Strategy is not formulated to be the same for every single country, because all countries are unique and would undertake different processes to achieve more sustainable development. In this case, Argentina should not follow Brazil's plan to a T because Brazil is a completely different country, meaning they are in a different situation, so what works for one country may not work for the other.
