Van Helsing is most importantly considered a hero, not only because he saved Mina's life, but because he was able to save Morris, Jonathan, and Arthur's lives with his knowledge. He kept them out of harm's way by providing them with a cross and garlic which he knows will keep vampires away.

I mean, people need money to live. It makes sense that they have ads. It does get quite annoying, I get it, especially with the interactive ads, but it's just part of running a website. They need to pay the bills, keep the site up. Just remember that the website wouldn't even be here if it weren't for the ads they put up.
