Answer and Explanation:

1. The cartoonist shows the Atomic Bomb how something was close, threatening and which could have an impact on humanity at any time. For this reason, the atomic bomb is presented in the cartoon as a big dark wave, which threatens to bring down a storm at any moment.

2. The umbrella means a vain attempt to protect yourself. As you can see, the umbrella in the cartoon will not be able to free the person from the storm. This is a useless umbrella and it means that attempts to protect yourself from the impact of an atomic bomb are useless and will not spare anyone.

3. The man has an expression of apprehension and waiting, as he looks at the threat with wide eyes, knowing that it is close and that his protection is too weak to protect him.

HELP PLEASE 1. Explain the reasons for U.S. neutrality during the 1920s and 1930s. How did ideas about neutrality
Helen [10]

Answer:

The Lend-Lease Act stated that U.S government could lend or lease (rather than sell) war supplies to any nation deemed "vital to the defense of the United States." Under this policy, the Unites States. was able to supply military aid to its foreign allies during World War II while still remaining officially neutral in the conflict. Most importantly, passage of the Lend-Lease Act enabled a struggling Great Britain to continue fighting against Germany virtually on its own until the United States entered World War II late in 1941.
