Wiesel does nothing when his father is slapped by the Gypsy.

Elie Wiesel while describing his life in the camp of Auschwitz recalls his experience when his father was slapped by an inmate. The incident happened when his father asked to use the bathroom that one of the inmates of the camp slapped him. It all happened in front of Wiesel. He was left motionless and speechless at this incident. He regretted that he would have reacted furiously on behalf of his father when he had kept silent.

What is wrong with the following theme statement? Select all that apply. Romeo and Juliet demonstrates that people should follow
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

c. References specific plot points

Explanation:

Although Romeo and J * really show that we must follow our hearts, this is not the theme of the story narrative created by Shakespeare, but a specific point in the plot of that story.

The theme of a work does not refer to a specific point on the plot, but rather the general message that the narrative covers.

In Romeu and J * the theme would be the violence caused by love and the struggle of individuals to get rid of the past of their families. Within these themes, the romance between the two young people and their willingness to follow their hearts do not cover all the complexity and nuances of the work and therefore cannot be considered the theme.
