If a cell has 32 pairs of chromosomes in its diploid state, how many chromosomes will it have after Meiosis 1? A. 8 B. 64 C. 32
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:

option c is correct that is 32

Explanation:

meiosis occur in two phases in the first phase DNA replication occur and amount of DNA becomes doubled without any changes in the chromosomes number and two daughter cells( each 2n) are formed

now in stage 2 each daughter cell undergoes mitosis with the formation of two cells each with half chromosomes (n)

now 2n =32

n=32/2=16

after meiosis stage 1 ........ two daughter cell each with 32 chromosomes

stage 2.... each daughter cell form two grand daughter cell each with 16 chromosomes

The Steady State Theory state that the density of the universe was remaining constant.

Steady State Theory:

In cosmology, a steady-state theory is a perspective that holds that the universe is constantly expanding while maintaining a constant average density. According to this theory, the matter is continuously created to form new stars and galaxies at the same rate that older ones fade away due to their expanding distance and accelerating recession. The average density and configuration of galaxies are the same as any location in a steady-state universe, which has no beginning or end in time.

British scientists Sir Hermann Bondi, Thomas Gold, and Sir Fred Hoyle first proposed the hypothesis in 1948. Hoyle expanded on it in order to address issues that had come up in relation to the alternative big-bang theory. According to the hypothesis, in order to maintain a constant average density of matter across time, the new matter must constantly be created, primarily as hydrogen. With nearly five times as much dark matter, the amount needed is small and not immediately observable: one solar mass of baryons per cubic megaparsec every year, or one hydrogen atom per cubic meter every billion years.

Evaluate this statement. Is it correct? Pick the option that has the best argument for/against this claim.
yarga [219]

This is correct, because aerobic is more efficient than anaerobic, making it preferable. Cellular respiration is energetically more efficient than anaerobic respiration.

Cellular respiration and anaerobic respiration

Cellular respiration refers to the generation of energy in the form of ATP in presence of oxygen.

Conversely, anaerobic respiration generates energy (ATP) in absence of oxygen.

Cellular respiration is an energetically more efficient pathway than anaerobic respiration, thereby facultative organisms generate ATP by cellular respiration when it is possible.
