It’s been a while since I’ve done geometry, but I think this is right.
Because we are dealing with a rhombus: angles X and A are the same, so we use this to solve for x like any other algebraic expression.
After we have found x (24), we can also apply the knowledge that since angles X and M are complementary they will form a 180° line when added.
Substitute the expression for angle X with the solved for expression and subtract it from 180°. And bam! Angle M

What’s the area of this face ?
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Remark.

I take it we are only concerned with the deep lime face that we can see closest to us.

Construction

Draw one line that goes from the right of the left foot up to the 18 foot line

Draw another line that goes from the left of the right foot up to the 18 foot line.

label the width of the right foot as 18 - 6 - 6 = 6

Solution

Right foot

Area = L * w

L = 12 feet

w = 6 feet

Area = 12*6 =                        72

Left foot   (same area)         72

Area above the door.

Height = 12 - 6 = 6

width  6

Area = 6 * 6 =                       36

Answer: Total Area = 72 + 72 + 36 = 180

X - 2y = 2 <br><br><br> 3x + 2y = -2
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

x=0

y= -1

Step-by-step explanation:

x−2y=2                 - eq 1

3x+2y=−2             - eq 2

x−2y=2

(3x+2y)+(x−2y)=−2+2

x−2y=2

3x+2y+x−2y=0

x=0

y= -1

olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

Fraction of the garden used =  \frac{5}{8}

Step-by-step explanation:

The fifth graders to plant a butterfly garden.

We are given that

Clover grows in ½ of the garden

Daisies grow in ¼ of the garden

Coneflowers grow in ⅛ of the garden

milkweed grows in ⅛ of the garden

The fifth graders notice that the butterflies land on the clover and milkweed.

We are asked to find out the fraction of the garden that the butterflies used.

Fraction of the garden used = clover + milkweed

Fraction of the garden used =  \frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{8}

The LCM of 2 and 8 is 8

Fraction of the garden used =  \frac{4 +1}{8}

Fraction of the garden used =  \frac{5}{8}

Therefore, the butterflies used \frac{5}{8} fraction of the garden.
