The piece of evidence from the paragraph that supports the inference that the artist is inspired by nature is:
b )He carves animals out of wood.

What inspired the artist's works?

The text shows that the artist was inspired by nature. The people watched intently as this artist shaped a log of wood. In the end, they discovered that he was trying to carve a grizzly bear from the log. His inspiration, in this case, was the animals which are part of nature. So, we can say that the artist is inspired by nature.
It is not unusual to find that many artists get inspiration from things that they find around them. For some, it is nature while others get inspiration from themselves or the people around them. Whatever the case, after they have translated their motivation into action, then observers will see the artwork and what it represents and appreciate it..

The appropriateness of the practice of burying the dead at a rainy mountain depends on the culture and traditions of the people in that place. If the folks in that area believes that burying their dead people at a rainy mountain could mean or could do them good then it is appropriate however if it is against their culture or tradition then it is safe to say that it is inappropriate. Take note, that such practice can either be appropriate or inappropriate in other areas depending on their beliefs, traditions and values.
I believe it's C, not 100% sure though.
