It showed the growth of democracy because of the huge expansion of voting rights to almost all white men, and it established the two party electoral system. All of this is considered by many to be the turning point in democratic relations and election in the US.

It also mixed different cultures all over the world through religions, nationalities, ethnicities, and others. It is a good example of cultural diffusion because it unites cultures with their ideas, customs, and practices. Taj Mahal was built to be a tomb for the wife of Shah Jahan, Mumtaz, who died when she gave birth to their 14th child.

The bulk of the Brazilian forest lies in the Amazon Basin. But the country is witnessing the loss of forest cover in the past few years. Especially after the 1970's it has lost 19 percent of its forest cover area, due to the construction of Trans- Amazonian highway and the growing population in the Amazon basin.

Land use pattern in Brazil: 32 percent of the land is Arable Land. 60 percent is Forest Land and 5.2 percent of the land is used for other activities. Out of 32 percent of Arable land, less than one percent is used for growing permanent crops, while 23 percent is permanent pasture.
