Which word has the most negative connotation?

English

Answer:

"Tattle"

Explanation:

If you tattle it means you are trying to get somebody in trouble by pointing out their wrongs. "Vickie tattled on her little brother Mark."

"Say" doesn't have any negative connotation. It is just a neutral word meaning "to speak."

If you express something you are just explaining or showing how you feel about something and it could be bad or good, but not specifically one or the other.

And if you indicate something, you are pointing it out or showing it. Once again, you could indicate something that is bad or good.

So tattle is the only one that is explicitly seen as having a "bad" connotation.

Hope this helps!!!

Discuss all the situations in which Mcbeth was decieved. Why did the deceptions work?
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

Hecate wants them to lead Macbeth to destruction because she believes that men like Macbeth do nothing to help witches. Therefore, she sets up three misleading prophecies for the other witches to deliver, which will give Macbeth false hope.

Explanation:

The three witches continually deceive Macbeth by telling him enigmatic prophecies, which they know will propel him to act upon his ambitious motivation to become king. Macbeth and his wife then deceive the king and his court by acting as gracious hosts, while they plot in secret about killing him.

Hope this helps!

pychu [463]

Answer: A) The O'Learys were recent immigrants to America from Ireland.

This passage tells the story of a fire. The details it provides are mostly useful to the account, such as the competing theories regarding the reasons for the fire, the identity of the person who released the story, the location, etc. However, the fact that the O'Learys (the family that owned the barn where the fire supposedly originated) were recent immigrants is not relevant to the fire story at all.
