Walk the dog before dinner.  -- imperative

I took the dog for a half-mile walk.  -- indicative

The interrogative mood is when the verb is used to ask questions. For example: Were you cooking when I called?

In the imperative mood, a verb expresses a command, a request, or even a suggestion in a more direct way. For example: Don't forget to clean your room.

The indicative mood is used to state facts, at least from the perspective of the one who is speaking. For example: Jane didn't talk to me yesterday.
