According to Miller, why has The Crucible become his most-produced play?
matrenka [14]

According to Arthur Miller, The Crucible has become his most-produced play because most people see the story as their own. It is about witch-hunt in Salem and the trials that took place there in 1692. Miller compares in the play these witch trials with the ones that took place in the U.S. People feared being accused of having communist ideas by the McCarthyism without proper evidence. There was an anti-communist rage that reached tremendous proportions, there was not just a hunt for subversive people, but for ideas. Miller himself was prosecuted and convicted. The Crucible is one of the surviving fragments of the McCarthy period.

Which of the following is written correctly?
Shkiper50 [21]

The correct answer is A. This is the case of using comma before a coordinating conjunction and because it links two independent clauses. We can observe that there two parts of this full sentence and each part is independent from each other. Both of them have their own subject and verb. Therefore, we are using a comma before and.
