If the offspring was born from one parent during asexual reproduction, it would look completely identical to the parent. if the offspring was born from two parents during sexual reproduction, it would look like both parents. also, if the offspring is born from one parent and the parent had no diseases or deformities, the offspring has no chance of being born with them.

I think the difference is in the parents because having one parent means that you are almost the same as that parent however if you have 2 parents then you have chromosomes from each parent
