HELP QUICK!! What is the difference between direct and indirect evidence? Give an example of each.
denis-greek [22]
Direct evidence does not require any reasoning or inference to arrive at the conclusion to be drawn from the evidence.

Example: If a person testified that he or she looked outside a window and saw rain falling, that is direct evidence that it rained.

Indirect evidence, requires that an inference be made between the evidence and the conclusion to be drawn from it.

Example: If, on the other hand, a witness testified that he or she heard distant pitter patter, and later walked outside and saw that the ground was wet, smelled freshness in the air and felt that the air was moist, those sensations would be indirect evidence that it had rained.

Describe one of the symbols in “The Gift of the Magi.” Explain how the author uses this symbol to convey the theme of the story.
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

The narrator suggests Jim and Della are actually wiser than the wise men because they understand love makes a gift truly worth giving.  The two recognize the sacrifice made makes their gifts so valuable, not because the gifts themselves are worth a lot of money.

How can I win the guy I love back?
IrinaK [193]
Look i'm going to be brutally honest here
if he left you for another person then hes probably not going to comeback
but if you wish to pursue him still then talk to him to figure out them mistakes so you can change then maybe he will get back together with you.honestly though if you have to change who you are for anybody then its not worth it..there is  a guy out there who loves you for you and he would not desire you to change you just got to find him.
