Answer: Lizabeth recognizes that she has looked only at herself rather than at other people.

"Marigold" is a short story by Eugenia Collier published in 1969. The story deals with Lizabeth, an African American girl growing up in rural Maryland during the Great Depression. It addresses themes such as poverty, maturity, innocence and compassion.

In the story, Lizabeth is upset due to the struggles of her family, which causes her to destroy the marigolds that her neighbour has in her garden. She ends up regretting her actions and apologizing. The story ends with Lizabeth, now an adult, realizing that innocence cannot coexist with compassion.

How can the leadership skills be applied to life outside of school? Give 3 specific examples with details of the situation and h
gayaneshka [121]
Leadership can be used in every day life. It is important to have a passion and or mission like playing guitar or ballet. Leadership starts at those fundamentals otherwise there would not be so many great leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. he had a passion for equality for all people. He ended up become one of the worlds most influential leaders.

You have a voice and don’t be afraid to use it. If you think something is not right or if you disagree speak up. It’s okay to voice your opinion. Just like Rosa Parks when she was discriminated against but she still spoke up and did not let those people silence her.

A good leader should be able to also listen to the other persons opinion without yelling or getting angry. Sometimes it’s better to observe and listen. Dalai Lama is a good example of this he even said to listen more to learn and understand what you don’t know.
