In Odyssey, Athena is the most helpful to Telemachus. She is the one that advises him throughout the story and opens Telemachus' eyes by telling him he is no longer a child. She also explains Telemachus that it is time for him to grow up and become a man since it has already been 19 years since his father left. Furthermore, she teaches Telemachus to be responsible but also to be confident in order to fight against Penelope's suitors. Moreover, it is also Athena who encourages him to start looking for his father and prepares Telemachus for visiting Nestor, the King of Pylos.
