The United States is the country with the biggest economy in the world, thus it is a country that has been the most attractive for migrants across the world for a long time now. While there are some ethnic and linguistic groups that dominate in the country, the fact that there are people from literally every country in the world living there means that the language diversity, at least at home is huge.

The English and Spanish languages dominate by far as those are the two languages that are native to most of the population, but when it comes to languages spoken at home the picture is much different. There are six languages that are officially spoken by one million or more people, including Chinese, French, German, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and Italian. On top of it, there are several other languages that have over half a million people using them, like Russian and Korean. If we take into account the languages that are spoken by less than half a million people then we will have hundreds of different languages on the spectrum.
