Answer: Required return = 15%

Explanation:

Current Price using the constant-growth DDM is;

Current Price = Expected dividend / ( Required return - growth rate)

This can therefore be used to calculate the required return.

Growth rate = Return on Equity * Retention ratio

= 15% *  ( 1 - payout ratio )

=  15% * (1 - 40%)

= 15% * 60%

= 9%

Expected dividend = Earnings per share * Payout ratio

= 3 * 40%

= $1.20

Using the formula;

Current Price = Expected dividend / ( Required return - growth rate)

20 = 1.20 / (Required return - 9%)

20 *  (Required return - 9%) = 1.20

Required return - 9% = 1.20 / 20

Required return = (1.20 / 20) + 9%

Required return = 15%

Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer:

Land amount= 367,990

Interest amount= 149,010

Explanation:

this question can be solve applying the concept of future value, as it is a zero interest or zero coupon it only, it means the bond does not pay money in the time, so

FV=PV*(1+i)^{n}

where FV is future value, PV is the present value, i is the periodic interest rate and n is the number of periods. So applying to this particular problem we have:

517,000=PV*(1+0.12)^{3}

solving we have PV=367,990

so the land value is 367,990 and the interest expenses are 517,000 - 367,990=149,010

SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

D. decline

Explanation:

Based on the information provided within the question it can be said that the vinyl records in this scenario seem to be in the decline stage of the product life cycle. This stage refers to when a product has already peaked in performance and sales begin to fall and production will ultimately come to a halt. This is what is happening to the LP stores since digital downloads have taken over and the only people buying LP's now are die-hard consumers.
