Just use substitution, y intercept is 3 so it would be 3= -2(5) I’m not an expert but I tried.

Glenn needs 20 minutes to clean his room. If his little sister Veronika pulls things out while he is cleaning, it takes 60 minut
maxonik [38]

The rate of Glenn in finishing a job would be equivalent to:

Rate (G) = 1 job / 20 minutes

While the rate of Veronika is:

<span>Rate (V) = 1 job / x                 ---> x is the unknown</span>

Where 1 job for Glenn means completely cleaning his room while 1 job for Veronika means pulling out everything. Therefore the equation to use would be:

1 / 20 – 1 / x = 1 / 60

The rate of Veronika is subtracted from the rate of Glenn since Veronika is slowing Glenn down. Solving for x:

Multiply both sides by 60 x

(1 / 20 – 1 / x = 1 / 60) * 60 x

3 x – 60 = x

2 x = 60

x = 30

<span>Therefore it takes 30 minutes for Veronika to pull everything out.</span>

Bob spent twice as much as james, who spent four times as much as Nava. If Bob and James together spent $180, how much did James
Ganezh [65]
Let's say that Bob is x and James is y

x + y = 180
x = 2y

2y + y = 180
y = 60.
James spent 60 dollars.

Prove that 2 root 3 divided by 5 is irrational
Arlecino [84]

\sqrt{x} 3 is a irrational number; whatever you do to a irrational number except subtract itself or divide by itself or a multiple of itself will always result in another irrational number.

A table of values of a linear function is shown below. Find the output when the input is n
lesya692 [45]

y = 6 - n

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1 :

Given ,

input: 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5  Output: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Let y = m x + c be the linear function

Step 2 :

When we take the input as 1, the output is 5, and when input is 2 the output is 4

so we have x,y as (1,5) and (2,4)

Hence substituting this in the linear function we get,

5 = m (1) + c  and 4 = m (2) + c

=> m + c = 5 and 2 m + c = 4

Step 3 :

Solving for m and c with these 2 equations , we have

m = -1 and c = 6

so we have the equation as y= (-1) x + 6

When the input is n, x = n

so output is y = (-1) n + 6

                   y = 6 - n

Find unit vectors that satisfy the given conditions: the unit vector in the same direction as ⟨0,1⟩ is
Fynjy0 [20]
 ⟨0,1⟩ could be taken to begin at the origin and end at (0,1).  <span> ⟨0,1⟩ has the length/magnitude of 1 and direction j.  So the desired unit vector is simply j.</span>
