Answer:

I only.

Explanation:

The above is the excerpt from the passage that represents a character vs. nature conflict.

A character vs. nature conflict actually takes place when a character is faced with resistance or trouble from a natural force (e.g: weather, natural disaster, animals, etc.)

From the excerpt, we see that the speaker stated the type of danger he faced in that kingdom which was a struggle or conflict between him and a monkey. The speaker is the character while the monkey is the nature opposing the man.

(the scarlet letter) other than her sin of adultery what are Hester major character flaws? why would these be a problem in a Pur
svp [43]

Answer:

Hawthorne portrayed Hester as a passionate, courageous, and independent woman which is contradictory to the time when the text was written. She was a sinner who held her sin of adultery brave and becomes a victim when she gives up on the moral injustices of the puritan society.

The flaws in her character other than adultery would be her bold, rebellious, and fearful attitude acceptance of her crime, deciding to bring up Pearl herself, not removing the Scarlett letter even after her punishment, etc. These were a problem in the puritan community as they directly challenge and subvert the stereotypes and authority of the Puritan world.
