Answer:

The fact that China has a large and growing population does not hinder its agricultural production.

Explanation:

China is one of the three biggest agricultural producers in the world, alongside the United States and India. The country has had a long history of being either the biggest or one of the biggest agricultural producers in the world and it has retained that status in modern times, and in fact, it is now more than ever that it needs to be. China is the most populous country in the world and on top of that the standard of living has been rising, so consumption has been increasing.

This puts China in a situation where it will have to be very innovative to be able to satisfy the demand on its own market in the near future. The arable land is located almost entirely in the eastern part of the country, as the rest is dominated by high mountains, high plateaus, and deserts, and China has already made steps into converting the deserts into green areas. The infrastructure too will need to be improved so that transportation is easier and losses minimized. One thing that China doesn't have a problem with when it comes to agricultural production is the labor force, as the population and thus the labor force are the largest in the world, so there are more than enough people to work in agriculture.

Which of the following provides the best characterization of China's strategy in the 1990s to integrate Tibet (Xizang) into the
kherson [118]

The correct answer is - B) providing resources to modernize Tibet's economy and society in general.

China has been trying to integrate Tibet into the Chinese society, in one way or another, since it incorporated it in its territory. Since Tibet is on the fa western part of the country and pretty isolated of the developed part, the Chinese government made a plan to bring in the modern society in Tibet instead.

The Chinese government invested heavily in Tibet, and improved the infrastructure and the living conditions, make it in the shape of the the developed ares in the east. Also, lot of Han Chinese were sponsored by the government to move to Tibet, so the Tibetans became a minority in Tibet very quickly. It is a process that is still going on, and it seems that manages to properly perform a cultural assimilation of the Tibetans.
