Answer:

Length=x+2

Width=2x-1

Area of garden =length×width

88sq.ft=2x-1 × x+2

88sq ft=2x^2+3x-2

2x^2+3x-2=88

2x^2+3x-2-88=0

2x^2+3x-90=0

2x^2+(15x-12x)-90=0

x(2x+15)-6(2x+15)=0

(x-6)(2x+15)=0

x-6=0

x=6 eq.1

2x+15=0

2x=-15(since length cant come in negative so it would not be the value of x)

Since x=6 according to eq. 1 ,therefore

Length =x+2

Length=6+2

Length=8..

For which sample size (n) and sample proportion (p) can a normal curve be
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

Option c.

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the normal curve to approximate a sampling distribution:

For a sample size n and a proportion n, the normal curve can be used if:

np \geq 10 and n(1-p) \geq 10

Option a:

np = 35*0.8 = 28 > 10

n(1-p) = 35*0.2 = 7 < 10

So option a cannot be used.

Option b:

np = 65*0.9 = 58.5 > 10

n(1-p) = 65*0.1 = 6.5 < 10

So option b cannot be used.

Option c:

np = 65*0.8 = 52 > 10

n(1-p) = 65*0.2 = 13 > 10

So option c can be used, and is the answer

Option d:

np = 35*0.9 = 31.5 > 10

n(1-p) = 35*0.1 = 3.5 < 10

So option d cannot be used.

The answer is given by option c.

Mark all the relative maximum points in the graph.
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The maximum value of a function is the place where a function reaches its highest point, or vertex, on a graph. If your quadratic equation has a negative a term, it will also have a maximum value.Aug 4, 2020

What are the sizes of x , y and z
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

x=70°

y=30°

z=20°

Step-by-step explanation:

You first need to find y, which would be 30 because the sum of the first two angles is 150, and a triangle has 180 degrees, so 180-150=30.

By finding y, we can now find a, because if you take the entire triangle, y+z must equal 50. So, z=20 because 30+z=50.

And finally, we can find x to be 70 since the sum of the two other angles is 110 and 180-110=70.

What is the measure of arc WZY?
Radda [10]

Answer:

<h2>m arc WZY = 222°</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at the picture.

m∠WOY = 2(m∠WZY)

We have m∠WZY = 69°. Therefore m∠WOY = 2(69°) = 138°.

m arc WZY = 360° - 138° = 222°
